POTTERY THROWING WITH ASSIYA

Assiya lives in a small village just off the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. She makes the most beautiful simple clay pottery that has served local families cooking supplies for years. Come to her house and enjoy Moroccan style hospitality with her and her sisters. You can learn and make with her cups, vases, bowls, or plates designed, thrown and kiln baked right before your eyes.

WHAT TO EXPECT

You can expect to be served as a guest into her home with local Moroccan mint tea, possibly a small meal, and spending a few hours making pottery with Assiya in her workshop. The total time for this experience is around 3-4 hours.

MEET ASSIYA

Assiya is a sweet lady who lives with her mother and sisters in a small village off the Mediterranean Sea in Northern Morocco. She has been making tangines, bowls, cups, vases and plates for decades now. Her wares are very popular locally and purchased by families for normal use in the kitchen. Assiya has a desire to serve others and works very hard to make a living for her family.
