About Region

Chefchaouen is known as the Blue City of Morocco. It is an exotic and desired tourist location for many from Spain and France. The town is nestled on the side of the Rif mountains. Locals wake up late and go to bed early living a quiet and peaceful lifestyle in the sleepy little town. Traditional Moroccan arts such as leather work, pottery, wood working, fabrics and rugs are all part of the daily labors in Chaouen and the surrounding region. Many farms of Olive Trees and Forrests cover the natural mountainous landscape.

Objectives

We are looking for an intern to serve our business, North African Connection, as a photographer/ videographer and manager of social media marketing. We are working together with the artisans in the region to both sell their artistic products globally and advertise original authentic experiences with them in their process of making their craft. As a photographer and videographer you will live in Chefchaouen, Tetuan, Asilah, or Tangier and travel the region taking photographs with our Artists as they have tourists enjoying experiences with them and you will take photos of the products they produce and sell for our social media platforms and webpage. Along with this you will manage our posting, campaigns and boosts on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube Channel. On Youtube you will help create content for the ongoing development of a channel that will feature how local artists live and work in the region, telling their stories and showcasing their skills.

• Local Travel by Taxi, Train or Bus 1-2x weekly

• Daily managing and posting photos and videos on Social Media outlets

North African Connection will work with you to find the best suited accommodations, book your airfare and develop an accurate budget for your stay in the country. You will possibly stay in an apartment with another intern of the same sex or a local family who desires to host you for your stay.
